Markers Unveiled at Friston and Upottery

Our latest memorial marker unveilings took place the weekend of 5th/6th September. Firstly at Gayles Farm in East Sussex for Friston Airfield on Saturday 5th September in collaboration with the National Trust. There was an exciting programme of events for the day culminating with our unveiling and a Spitfire flypast. Congratulations to the National Trust for the acquisition of the land, the opening up of public access and the 50th anniversary of the National Trust’s Neptune Coastline Campaign. ABCT would like to thank them for their support.

Our second unveiling of the weekend was at Upottery in Devon on Sunday 6th September. Upottery is famous for its association with Band of Brothers and the D-Day landings. The unveiling took place at Smeatharpe Stadium and thanks to Autospeed for their help. Thank you also to the Upottery Living History Group for their attendance at the event as well as their support and hospitality at the Upottery Airfield Heritage Centre and Archive.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for more photographs and video from the events as well as details of future unveilings.
