"As Docking gradually wound down shortly after World War Two, No 27 Air Crew Holding Unit while waiting to demobilise or transfer airmen unwittingly found itself temporary home to several future well known names in the acting world. Richard Burton, Robert Hardy and Warren Mitchell all spent time in this part of Norfolk prior to finding fame and fortune.
