Davidstow Moor

Major

Did you know?

"

Although the Davidstow name is perhaps best known these days for cheese produced by Dairy Crest Limited, which in turn has direct physical connections with the nearby airfield, Davidstow Moor’s geographical position of 970 feet above sea level provided this place with another more obscure claim to fame as being Britain’s highest operational airfield during World War Two.
