The Welsh Aviation Company used Aberavon for joy-riding during at least the first half of 1921. Its location was on the beach, otherwise known as Aberavon Sands. The company only remained in existence between 1920 and 1922, with pilots being Captains F.G.M. Sparks and H.S. Broad. The company owned four Avro 504K aircraft.
